Be part of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023. We are looking for motivated volunteers who would strengthen our group and our work. You will find exciting programs and events in Veszprém and the Balaton region.
VEB2023 is enriching the cultural life of Veszprém and the region around the city. We are organizing a wide range of festivals, concerts, and community programs.
We are looking for creative and proactive volunteers who are interested in culture and community development. They will join the team responsible for the programs of Veszprém-Balaton 2023 - European Capital of Culture. Our activities are supported by volunteers and with this project, we involve participants from abroad as well. Within the organization, the volunteers can gain experience in a variety of fields of cultural work. You will be actively involved in the work of the community development team. Volunteers with skills in videography are more than welcome! The tasks can vary, past examples include running an English club, organizing and conducting workshops for the locals, hosting international guests, etc.
Veszprém is a lively town with a vibrant international student community and a great location for discovering the beauty and culture Hungary has to offer.
Individual volunteering
- 12 months period (maximum)
- age of the volunteers: 18-30 years
- travel: it is covered according to the distance between the sending and the hosting places.
- accommodation: a rented flat in central Veszprém.
- meals: the volunteers receive a monthly food allowance
- pocket money: 5 euro/day, paid to the volunteers directly
- working hours: maximum 35 hours/week
- a mentor is helping them to keep track of their learning process and tackle every obstacle in their daily life
- insurance: complementary health insurance is given to the participants which is NOT covering the European Health Insurance Card
- at the end of the project the volunteers receive a Youthpass and a Certificate from the European Commission
Tasks can be
- Help the organization’s team in its everyday work.
- Support the work of the international relations department.
- Organize programs and events with the university
- Hosting foreign guests, groups, performers
