Short term volunteering
A fantastic opportunity for those who want to try their hand at a programme abroad. You can travel, learn and practise foreign languages and get closer to other cultures. If you are between 18 and 30 years old, this opportunity is just for you!
The Public Foundation for the Culture of the Veszprém-Balaton Region is welcoming volunteers from abroad to help implement the ECoC programmes by adding a touch of international colour, supported by a grant won for 2022. They will be working together with our Shiny volunteers, so there will be plenty of opportunity to meet, chat and make friends. We hold regular volunteer clubs at our Kossuth Street location, there will be programmes at the Pannon and Jutas Community Hubs, and we will also be present at major festivals/programmes. In 2022 and 2023, we will host groups of 20 people for two periods each.
The projects are supported by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
If you take part in a group programme, you'll be part of a team of at least 10 people helping out with tasks. The team will be international, with participants from several countries. Depending on the host location, the duration varies between 2 weeks and 2 months. Dates are given; no shorter stays are planned.

As the summer starts more and more programs are going to be hosted in Veszprém and in the region.
The volunteers will support and participate in events where we are hosting guests and performers from abroad.
In this project, we are going to host a group of 20 volunteers from many different countries.
After getting to know each other within the group the volunteers will discover the town, and the program itself. The team will organize intercultural events where we invite the local volunteers as well.
The project covers: travel, food allowance, pocket money, insurance, accommodation
Accommodation: In a hostel in central Veszprém. Girls and boys are in separate rooms.

11th of July – 30th of July 2023
In July Veszprém hosts its traditional annual street music festival. It is a huge event where musicians come to the city from all across the world.
The volunteers will support the organizers in tasks like hosting guests and performers from abroad.
The team will also organize intercultural events where we invite local volunteers as well.
In this project, we are going to host a group of 20 volunteers from many different countries.
After getting to know each other within the group the volunteers will discover the town, and the program itself.
The project covers: travel, food allowance, pocket money, insurance, accommodation
Accommodation: In a dormitory. Girls and boys are in separate rooms. Two people in every room.
